There are many apps that claim to “increase team collaboration” and “optimize organizational workflow,” but how many apps really do? We’ve selected a list of 8 apps that actually make your workday easier, and team communication more easy, reliable and enjoyable in the process.

Slack
Slack is a real-time team collaboration tool, with millions of users around the world. It’s an smart platform, and you can get it on mobile and desktop devices. The app also supports video calling, though those tools aren’t as powerful as the text chat. You can use the feature to talk to your team members about projects and work in-depth, without having to type details. While this isn’t a replacement for cloud storage services, you are able to drag, drop and share files with your team members directly within Slack. It’s also suited with services such as Google Drive and Dropbox.

Dropbox is the most essential team collaboration tools for online file-sharing and document collaboration. Shared folders are the best way to collaborate using Dropbox. Team members of a shared folder can edit and access the same folders.
